Genealogical Research – Discover Your Family Tree

Uncover Your Family History and Find Your Ancestors
Genealogical research is a comprehensive approach to studying family history and generational ties based on the analysis of archival documents, local history and scientific literature, cartographic materials, and family recollections. This service allows you to explore your family's history, reconstruct your genealogy, and trace your ancestors back to the 17th century. Specialists from the European Genealogical Center help uncover not only family connections and names but also social status, occupations, places of residence, family composition, and other biographical details of each ancestor. During the research process, extracts and copies of documents are made, and a genealogy chart is compiled for each family line.
Example of genealogical research
  • The scope of research is determined individually for each client. The study can focus on a single lineage or cover all family branches.
  • The research period can be fixed, such as a century, or our specialists can conduct a search through all available sources on the family being studied.
  • The result of the research is a report detailing the findings, including copies of all discovered documents, extracts, and a family tree. The report can be provided in electronic or printed form. If desired, the results can be compiled into a book.
  • Duration of genealogical research: 4 to 8 months.
  • Cost of genealogical research: starting from 1,000 euros, payable in two equal installments. Installment payment options are available.

Genealogical Research: A Path to Uncovering Your Family History Up to the 16th Century

How is genealogical research conducted?

Initially, existing family information is analyzed: ancestors' names, birth dates, places of residence, and details about close relatives. Then, an archival search is carried out, including work with metric books, revision lists, censuses, and other sources specific to each social class. Every document found helps reconstruct the past, refine details, and determine the next steps in the research. A final report is prepared, detailing the research process, family history within a historical context, and a genealogy chart.

What information can be discovered?

Through genealogical research, you can learn the names, birth, marriage, and death dates of your relatives, their social status, occupations, and participation in historical events. Often, detailed biographies of specific ancestors can be reconstructed, or unexpected facts may be uncovered, such as noble or merchant origins, confirming family legends.

Why is it important to know your ancestry?

Genealogical research is not just about tracing ancestors; it is an immersion into family history, preserving the past, and passing this knowledge to future generations. It helps define your roots and national heritage, find lost relatives, and understand who your ancestors were, their occupations, and the historical events that shaped your family.

How far back can genealogy be traced?

Depending on the availability of archival records, genealogy can be traced back to the 17th century, and in some cases, even earlier. Extensive research is conducted using documents specific to a given era and region. If your ancestors were nobility, additional sources such as noble genealogy books, historical and scientific literature are examined. The older the family, the more materials need to be studied to establish family ties and identify the founder of the lineage.
